CN GMD SW1200RS Locomotives

Dear HO Scale Customers:
You will see below we are announcing for the second time the Trueline Trains SW1200's. We are doing this because on the initial release we received incomplete and conflicting product information and there were no images. We have had a number of customers from overseas calling trying to understand the differences. We have since had some discussions with Trueline Trains and completed and enlarged the scope of the information available for customers.
There are essentially 6 different groups of engines coming out. Here is the Coles Notes version:
a) 2 green and Gold (Yellow) engines with Long Hood Mounted handrails (early version) SKU 1044-500300 / 1044-500301
b) 2 green and Gold (Yellow) engines with Sill Mounted handrails (later version, changed for safely reasons) SKU 1044-500326 / 1044-500327
c) 2 mostly black engines with 1961 paint scheme SKU 1044-500306 / 1044-500307
d) 2 engines painted in the newest CN paint scheme (present day) SKU 1044-500310 / 1044-500311
And now the confusing part:
e) 2 CN engines Black with Orange Cab (1974 forward) with Noodle, but with early version of the number Boards SKU 1044-500302 / 1044-500303
f) 2 CN engines Black with Orange Cab (1974 forward) with Noodle, but with late version of the number Boards SKU 1044-500304 / 1044-500305. These engines have "inset" steps (early version).
g) 2 CN engines Black with Orange Cab (1974 forward) with Noodle, but with late version of the number Boards SKU 1044-500308 / 1044-500309. These engines have "straight" steps (late version).
there are a few more difference between e and f versions explained in detail below for those "Who need to know".
Dear Customers: we have had a number of customers call and ask images of the CN SW1200's and clarification re the differences between units. Their was confusion between two groups of engines, they both looked the same.
If you are wondering what is the “big? Difference between 500304/500305 and 500308 / 500309?
It is that the 500304/500305 have the “inset” steps (early) and the 500308 / 500309 have the straight steps (late).
There are also small variations too like:
The 500304/500305 have cab front located horns and the 500308 / 500309 have can rood located horns.
Battery box style is dependent on number, either 2 or 3 latches, and the 500304 /500305 have “mid era” hand rails and the 500308 / 500309 have “later era” hand rails.
TrueLine Trains says they are really sorry for the delay, but they decided to release the CN and the CP units together, so they had to change some tooling and make some new slides. It's a limited run, so make sure that you don't miss out!
