RhB Stake Cars- R-w

● Item Introduction

Along Rhaetische Bahn (RhB), which has a railroad network in Swiss Kanton Graubuenden, forestry is thriving. So the scene of logs being carried by railroad is often witnessed.

The long flat freight car "R-w" can carry containers or heavy machinery as well as logs.

The flat freight cars are viewed moving on street rail track either with logs loaded or unloaded in a short train consist.

A long flat freight car R-w used to transport logs will join Rhaetische Bahn lineup.

The supports used for log transport will be designed movable. Also released: 4 car set loaded with logs, 4 car set loaded with containers, a single car lounloaded, and a set of 3 log piles.

You can enjoy not only train consist with respective kinds of cargo but also various mixed car trains by combination with Rhaetische series passenger cars and freight cars just like the real trains.

 

◆ Product Features

• A long freight car R-w to carry logs will join the series of Rhaetische Bahn.

• Among R-w cars, Kato will make scale models of Car Nos. 8381 through 8385 which are equipped with container latches.

• The set loaded with logs will be made into a scale model loaded with 3 piles of logs.

• Supports on the car sides are included in the set. Selection can be made either to erect or lay them down.

• A design of Swiss logistics company "Railcare" is adopted for containers, with cute illustrations on all white containers.

• Equipped with short couplers as standard. Arnold couplers are included for exchange.

• Accessories in each set: Arnold couplers for exchange, supports, brake handles for 4-car sets

• Accessories for a single car: Arnold couplers for exchange, supports, brake handle for 1 car

• Minimum negotiable radius: R150

 

 

● Item Introduction

Kintetsu Series 10100 "New Vista Cars" are a renowned train which debuted in 1959 as an express electric train and made the leading position of Kintetsu Express train operated between Nagoya and Osaka unwavering.

The train consists of 3 articulated cars including then epoch-making double decker middle car. According to the different tops, there used to be 3 train consists.

Ahead of the retirement of 1979, a memorial run was made by triple heading of A+C+B train consist. The triple heading run was conducted also in July to August, 1980 with "Farewell run" headmark.

 

◆ Product Features

• Kato makes the scale model in the form that it was renovated till 1975.

• Each top car is equipped with head/taillights, indicator lights and express-train sign which turn on. White LED is used. The through type lead car only is equipped with turn-off switch.

• Slotless motor is used to realize smooth and quiet move. For operation in combined trains, consist A is supplied with traction tires, C, without traction tire and B, without power unit.

• For middle car connection and for the top of through type lead car, car-body-mounted Kato (hookless) tight couplers are used.

• The decorated color packaging box is used for A + B consist 6 car set. It can additionally store 3-car train consist in it.

Series 205-600 Passenger Car Sets (Hobby Center Originals)

● Item Introduction

Series 205 600s was in service mostly approximately from 2013 to 2022 between Utsunomiya and Kuroiso on Nikko and Utsunomiya lines.

It is in the form that such renovation was added to series 205 of Saikyo and Keiyo lines as large toilet, change to single-armed pantographs, addition of frost removal pantographs.

It supported the passenger transport on Utsunomiya and Nikko lines until the successor series E131 600s appeared.

 

◆ Product Features

• Kato will make the scale models of Y12 consist (Utsunomiya line: Shonan Color), Y6 consist (Nikko line: Nikko line color).

• The window which was occluded to install a toilet can be recreated again by using the sticker included.

• The toilet tank will be represented under floor at an edge of body KUHA 205 car,

• The rooftop of car MOHA 205 will be reproduced with frost remover pantographs installed.

• The symbol sign on the car-body sides will be recreated.

• The door buttons and various letterings will be printed beautifully.

• Middle cars will be equipped with bogie-mounted tight couplers. Bogies with couplers are included for exchange in case of combined train operation.

• Destination stickers are included.

 

Series 131-600 Utsunomiya/Nikko Lines 3-Car-Set

● Item Introduction

"San-in" was a local train which travelled 386.2 km between Kyoto and Izumo city at night. It had sleeping cars with bunk beds connected although it was a local passenger train.  The train consisted of baggage car, mail car, Series 43 coaches and was towed by locomotive DD51.

◆ Product Features

・The prototype for the scale model is the cars which belonged to Izumo passenercar depot about 1980, while MANI 60 belonged to HAMADA and  SUYUNI61, to MIYAHARA depot.

・Body color for MANI 60, SUYUNI 61 is represented by grape color No. 2, the rest is represented by blue No. 15.

・Taillights on MANI 60, SUYUNI 61 and OHAFU45 turn on (with turnoff switches)
