Lighthouse Beacon Flasher Kit (requires assembly) with Simulated Rotation (to see a video clip, scroll down) 

Here is a great kit to bring a lighthouse or other rotating style beacon to life! The kit includes a preprogrammed MicroComputer that slowly increases the bightness of a 3mm Super Bright White LED to simulated a light beam slowly swinging toward you. The MicroComputer then produces a bright flash in the LED to simulate the light beam directly shining in your direction. Then the MicroController decreases the intensity to simulate the light beam moving away from you. The cycle then repeats over and over again. Great for HO and N Scale Lighthouses or Garden Lighthouse. Assembly is fairly simple due to the small number of parts. Photo shown is a typical BK-100 series kit assembly and may vary in number of resistors, output wires or actual components in a specific kit.

Don't have room Lighthouse on your layout! You can always make a backdrop showing a small Lighthouse in the distance with the LED mounted in the backdrop for a great effect

Solar Power Option: The unit may also be combined with our FK1004 Solar Night Light kit to charge NiCad batteries during the day and automatically turn the unit on when it gets dark.

The completed circuit board is 3/4" wide, 2" long and about 1/2" high.

The kit comes complete with Circuit Board, Components, 1 Super Bright White LED ( approx. 16,000 mcd), a Pre-Programmed MicroController IC, 12" LED and Power leads and Assembly Instructions. This kit requires soldering to assemble the kit. A 15-30 watt soldering iron is recommended.
