In the 1960s, Ford Motor Company, Pullman Standard and Santa
Fe pooled their resources to develop a standard boxcar to meet
the transportation needs of auto manufacturers in the US.
Delivered in 1965, Pullman Standard's version is the most prolific
example of this type of auto parts boxcar that ultimately changed
the face of automotive manufacturing and rail transportation.
