    This 50' rib side box car with single door and no roofwalk is painted yellow with black ends and aluminum roof. It displays the Chicago and North Western System herald, black lettering and runs on black Barber roller bearing trucks. C&NW 155059 is part of a 100 car series built in May 1974 and serviced in January 1989 by CNW with floors rated for 50,000 lbs. In 1972 CNW purchased the transportation assets of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway and changed its name to Chicago & North Western Transportation Co. For some time thereafter the road carried the herald Employee Owned. By the 1980s, the preferred car color was yellow and a three-color Chicago System herald was in use.
