For nearly two decades, Hoki 2500 is one of Japan's most distinctive freight trains, transporting limestone from the mountains of Okutama to the industrial waterfront of Tokyo Bay. Their long trains winding through suburban neighborhoods became an iconic sight on the Ome and Nambu Lines during the 1990s.
