Item Introduction

The Imperial Train No.1 formation was used for official travel by the Imperial family across Japan. The five-car formation includes the Imperial Car, featuring a central saloon, chrysanthemum crest, and elegant gold decorations, as well as four attendant cars equipped with waiting rooms, rest areas, and operational facilities. C11 No. 190, built in 1940, was selected to haul the Imperial Train in 1966 as its primary locomotive, featuring distinctive green-accented number plates and rods.

Together, this lineup recreates the prestigious Imperial Train formation of the Showa period.
