Item Introduction

Relive the golden age of steam with the iconic Hokkaido double-header C62s! This set features C62 No. 2, known as “Swallow Angel” for its stainless-edged deflectors and Tsubame emblem, and C62 No. 3—both famous for hauling the express “Niseko” in harsh northern winters. On the Hakodate Main Line, known as the “mountain line,” it often ran in double-heading formation with a helper locomotive at the front, gaining massive popularity. C62 No. 2 is now preserved in running condition at the Kyoto Railway Museum, while No. 3 saw revival service as the “C62 Niseko” until 1995.

The iconic Hokkaido C62 No. 2 and No. 3 locomotives, symbols of the late-Showa SL (steam locomotive) boom, are back! Recreate the famous double-heading express “Niseko” featuring these two legendary engines. This is a re-release product. Please note that the MSRP and JAN code have been updated from previous versions. All other specifications remain unchanged.
