● MAITE 49 JR West and Old Passenger Car 4-Car Set


In 1938, MAITE 49 appeard as SUITE 37040 in 2 cars. At the beginning, it was used for limited express "Fuji". After repeating the name change, it became MAITE through SUITE. This train set was once decommisioned and preserved on display in the Osaka Scientific Musium. In 1987, it was renovated and restored and operated as a special train for events in avaious places along with normal coaches, OHAFU33 and OHA46. Afterward, it was placed in the Kyoto Railroad Musium on October 11, 2022 and now on exhibit together with OHA 46. This is a basic passenger train set with which various special trains for events can be realized. An event train set in west Japan can be made by connecting #3049-1 EF58 150 Miyahara Depot.

● MAITE 49 JR West and Old Passenger Car 4-Car Set

・The train in the form of 1987 to 2019 is reproduced as a scale model.

・MAITE 25 will be made into a scale model in the form after restoration work, namely with observation vestibule with increased handrails and renewed airconditioned.

・Truck-mounted Arnold couplers (with coupler pocket) are used between the middle car connecting sides, while dummy coupler is fitted on the observation vestibule.

・Using separately sold 5313-2D MAITE 49 Truck flat bearing, the dummy coupler can be turned into truck mounted Arnold coupler and connected with another car on the observation vestibule side.

・Taillights, back signs turn on.

・JNR's standard blue for old normal type coaches is painted beautifully.

・Bookcase styled box containing 6 cars. In addition to this item, a locomotive and a coach can be set in the box.
