Built by American Car and Foundry in 1975, this plug-door boxcar with roller bearing trucks was equipped with moveable bulkheads and a cushioned underframe. Burlington Northern was formed through the mergers of Great Northern and Northern Pacific in 1970, and then merged with ATSF in 1995 to form BNSF.
