The stainless steel body E129 is reproduced as a plastic model with the snow-white front and the golden-yellow stripe associated with golden rice harvest and the stripe in pink of Toki (Japanese crested ibis bird inhabiting Sado island in Niigata). Furthermore, the shape of the front and equipment designed for the heavy snowfall in that area are represented.

Series E129 is a suburban AC electric train which appeared in 2014 for operation in Niigata area. It is characterized by the car interior consisting of long seat and semi-cross seat sections and doors laid out asymmetrically in front and rear direction and rooftop brake resistor, etc.

Features

- Both top cars have head/tail lights and an illuminated front display which turn on (OFF-switch equipped). White LED colour. All four head lights are turned on for a high beam appearance.

- Each car is equipped with a hookless short coupler mounted to the body.

- The speaker and door switch on the outside of the car are printed on.

- The 4-Car set is sold in bookcase style packaging. The bookcase has an open space to hold the cars of the 2-Car set.

- DCC friendly.

⑥ Slotless motor realizes yet smoother and quieter move. KUMOHA E129 is the power car equipped with the motor.

⑤ Side destination displays are painted all black. Destination stickers are included showing various routes and destinations.
