Kato will make in N-scale the DE10 featured with the chic black appearance.

The DE10 in the appearance composed of orange run boards and golden handrails on the black body is currently deployed widely in JR Kyushu areas.

Starting with painting black a DE10 in 2010 for shooting of a TV program, all the eight DE10 locomotives belonging to JR Kyushu are made into this black paint scheme.

This is a locomotive model which is used for switching trains in yards and for drawing trains for construction work as well as for pulling passenger trains. It has also pulled an extra train “Twilight Express".

The N-scale model is a set of 2 locomotives, one fit with traction tires and the other without traction tire, can be run in double heading with the same model locomotive or in push-pull operation combined with another model locomotive.

Features

● The prototype for the scale model is locomotive No. 1209 belonging to Kumamoto rolling stock depot.

● Unique black body orange run boards and golden handrails are accurately and beautifully represented.

● The roof fit with JR wireless antenna is reproduced.

● The front windows equipped with wipers for warm regions

● The side window sashes and wipers are silver.

● The sealing rubber for front windows and connecting parts on bonnets are black

● The makers name plate shows “KAWASAKI” printed.

● Equipped with a snow plow

● Such details as radiator grills or cooling fans are accurately reproduced.

● Equipped with a motor unit with flywheel

● One of the two in the set wears traction tires while the other does not to enable double heading or push-pull operation.

● The wheels with carved centers painted all black feel very heavy

● Operative headlights

● Bulb color LED is adopted for lighting.

● The whistle is produced as a separate part on the roof.

● Equipped with knuckle shape coupler. An Arnold coupler is supplied with the loco. for exchange.

● Loco. number plates supplied for exchange 1195 1206 1207 1209. Only 1195 is silver while all the other are gold just like the real locomotive
