These 50’ standard box cars with single door are red with white lettering and run on Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1959 and rebuilt and repainted in 1975, these cars featured DF loaders, and Shock Control end-of-car cushioning to minimize load damage due to rough train handling. Founded in 1859, Santa Fe was one of the largest railroads in North America until 1996, when it merged with Burlington Northern to form BNSF.
