The Decoder Buddy Mini was developed to fit into smaller steam and diesel locomotives.  The Mini would also be a good choice where very few lighting functions are required.  It has amply sized soldering pads for attaching lights, speakers, stay alive and auxiliary lighting.  Minis may be used in HOn3, S-Gauge and O-Scale applications also.  The surface mount resistors are also relatively accessible if you want to replace them with different values.
