A signature car for the Combined Super Chief / El Capitan, meet the newest member of the WalthersProto Santa Fe fleet, the 85' Pullman-Standard 11 Double-Bedroom Sleeper! Originally built as duplex sleepers (the only cars of this type in North America) and assigned to secondary trains, in 1963 Santa Fe rebuilt the entire series into luxurious 11 double-bedroom sleepers. Retaining their Indian series names, they were assigned to the Super Chief from 1964 on. Ready for operation or display, features of this WalthersProto replica include:
