Scale Test Cars

Owned by Milwaukee Road, this scale test car was used up until 1986. A scale test car is a small, heavily weighted MOW service car used to calibrate track scales in railroad yards. Scale test cars are a specific, precisely known weight, which is then compared to readouts on track scales. Any difference indicates an adjustment is needed.
