Steam In Three Countries

Now we dig into the private film collection of Greg Scholl with footage shot in Europe. First we visit Spain in 1972 and visit Pamplona, and Castejon to see 2-8-2s in freight and passenger service on this broad-gauge railroad. In 1974 we visit Austria with 2-10-0 (52 class) between Linz and Summerau which provides nice upgrade action in super scenery.  Also shows cameo appearances of a Czech 4-8-2, Austrian Narrow Gauge, and more.

Then it's on to Italy and the northern region in Alpine country near the Austrian Border. We chase on the Fortezza to San Candido line with class 740, and 741 2-8-0s  with super scenery and weather. (The 741s are the Crosti-boiler engines with the unique side-stacks.) We also see freight and
passenger trains.

In March 1975, a quick return to the region brings a little action with both classes of 2-8-0s.  A slide show completes this unique program, followed by previews.  52 Minutes $25.00
