LOTS & LOTS OF TRAINS

We rarely sell programs from other sources, but we make an exception here since we provided some of the footage years ago, when these were first made on VHS. Now they have been put on DVD and are a little longer. Originally sold as 30 minute videos aimed at the youngsters, the DVD is the same, except there is some bonus footage, which appears to be the same on both discs.

The basic shows have music in a lot of it, mixed with some live sounds of the trains. No locations are given throughout, its just "Lots and Lots of Trains". The producers "Marshall Publishing" state "Family fun for ages 3 to 93".

I did a viewing since it had been such a long time. There are music segments, segments with music and train sounds, and little bit of live audio without music, but not much. You see a bit of everything here, steam, diesels, trolley, electrics, steam excursions, tourist railroads and museum trains, riding, cab scenes, all 4 seasons of the year, Narrow Gauge, Standard Gauge, some model and garden railroads, and other scenes. Most are quick shots to keep the attention of the little ones, and they state volume one has 300 different scenes. Volume 2 is similar with some foreign material, including Canada and Mexico, and South Africa.

Each video runs around 30 minutes, plus the bonus footage which is Laona & Northern Railway with 2-6-2 engine 4 on their tourist operation. Then there is some model and garden trains in here as well. The L&N Railway is all live audio, and includes some cab footage. Remember the bonus footage is the same on both DVDs. Although advertised as being 45 minutes, without the previews its more like 38-40 minutes and over 30 is duplication on the bonus stuff. But, it is a ton of varied material shot by different people so quality varies. We are selling both DVDs for the low price of $19.95 while they last. Not recommended for foreign customers since the shipping will be as much or more than the DVDs. No previews are available.
