The Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad was established in 2001 by the Watco shortline group to acquire and merge the Central Kansas Railway and the Kansas Southwestern Railway. They operate more than 900 miles of line, most of which was originally part of the Santa Fe in Kansas. This group of former Santa Fe hoppers was included in the deal and have been patched and renumbered for the KO. The cars appear to be used in stone service so we are including “stone” loads on this run.
