This 56’ general service tank car is painted black with white lettering and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1983 as part of series 880298-880326, it was designed to carry just about any liquid commodity ranging from potable water to fuel oils and sweeteners. Carrying in excess of 26,000 gallons, these welded cars could be found in long strings and in mixed freight nationwide after the Santa Fe and Burlington Northern merger in 1995.
