The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad built this 40' standard box car with single door, full ladders, and without roofwalk in 1949 at Topeka, Kansas as a class Bx-53 box car (complete with roofwalk). It was rebuilt in 1969, at which time the roofwalk was removed - but the ladders were not shortened. They painted it box car red with aluminum roof, white Youngstown door, and black & white markings. The white door designates this car for 'Flour Loading Only.' The 110,000 lb capacity box is equipped with Bettendorf trucks.
