This 50’ standard box car with double Youngstown doors in painted a simulated UP Synthetic Red with the ‘Serves all the West’ slogan in yellow and lettering in white. This A-50-14 class box car was built in 1937 then serviced in July 1944. The car was a 1937 Association of American Railroads design with a 5/5 Dreadnaught end; running boards were wood, typical of pre-war built freight cars. The car runs on Bettendorf trucks.
