This 40’ standard box car with plug door and roofwalk is painted box car red with aluminum roof and reefer yellow sides. It bears the black Rocky herald (circa 1967) with black GREAT NORTHERN / Western Fruit Express lettering and dim data. It was built in March 1953, serviced in March 1968, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. A subsidiary of Great Northern, Western Fruit Express Company handled all of GN’s requirements for refrigerated cars, icing facilities and the like and rostered the “insulated” box cars with RBWX reporting marks.
