This 100-ton 3-bay open hopper with rib sides was built in October 1980. It is part of a 360-car fleet originally owned by CSX. These cars were purchased by Reading & Northern when it became clear that Norfolk Southern (RBMN's Class 1 connection) couldn't meet their needs with NS's own rolling stock. RBMN maintained the black paint scheme and the CSX 'Ease-UP' emblem. They added their web site in white and a colored end panelNULLin this case red but some in blue. The color-coding is for easy identification for loading. The road is also called the Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern, hence the RBMN.
