This PS-2 70-ton two bay covered hopper is painted white with large black CSX herald and black lettering. It also bears red and yellow ‘Ease Up’ warnings. It was built in 1965 and runs the east and midwest on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. CSX Transportation was formed on July 1, 1986, as a combining and renaming of the Chessie System, Inc. and Seaboard System Railroad into one entity. CSX operates one of the three Class I railroads serving most of the East Coast, and also serves the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
