This 39’ Single Dome Tank Car is painted green with the British Columbia Railway dogwood logo colored orange green and white, and white road number dimensional data lettering. It was built sometime in the 1920s, serviced and repainted in February 1978, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in the 1920s for diesel fuel service, this BCOL tanker originally wore an earlier Pacific Great Eastern paint scheme. Numbered into the 1903-1953 series, the road’s name was changed to British Columbia Railway in 1972. In February 1978, the tanker received the traditional BCOL livery at the North Vancouver shops (NV). Assigned again to diesel fuel service, the tanker uses a stencil box configuration that was introduced in 1972 and used through 1974. The U-1 wheel inspection stencil is yellow indicating that the wheels have been inspected and declared safe.
