Beginning this May, Micro-Trains will launch its newest series in Z scale featuring prototypically accurate meat packer refrigerator car schemes never before done by Micro-Trains! This is one of fifty cars from series 1400-1498 (even numbers only). Built by the American Car & Foundry Co. (lot #5693) in Chicago for the St. Louis Independent Packing Co. in July of 1910, it has a capacity of 1938 cubic feet and advertises the varieties of meat that it carried to market.
