This 36’ wood-sheathed ice reefer with truss rod underframe is painted brown with gray sides and blue/yellow ‘checkerboard scheme.’ Lettering is blue and white with red vertical stripes. It was built by American Car & Foundry in the early 1900s and runs on Andrews trucks. The Kingan Refrigerator Line, owned and operated by Kingan & Company of Indianapolis, rostered almost 600 meat reefers.
