 Built in response to the success of the Low Side 4427 PS-2CD, the distinctive High Side Hopper made it’s appearance in late 1966. Built specifically with the Wheat and Corn market in mind, the High Side out sold the previous model reaching sales in excess of 13,000 units and could be found all over North America.

This PS-2 3-bay covered hopper with high sides is painted brown with white lettering and green and white logo. It was built in August 1970 by Pullman-Standard and runs on Barber Roller bearing trucks. The 4427 cu ft. design was

Pullman-Standard’s earliest mass-produced 100-ton grain car, however IMC used this hopper for transportation of chemicals used in the production of commercial fertilizers, primarily phosphate and potash.
