Snow removal has always been an important of railroad operations in the winter. While a snow plow on the front of a locomotive will do the job most days, there are times when railroads need a serioulsy big machine to handle heavy snow loads. When this occurs, they call in these giant rotary snow plows. Based on the same cncepts as their steam driven prodecessors, these diesel powered versions were developed in the 1950's and are still used occasionally today.

Please note that these are unpowered units. The Standard DC only motor drives the rotary plow blades only. There is no drive motor in the included F7B.
