This 50’ flat car with fishbelly sides and side mount brakewheel, carrying a covered freight load, is painted black with white lettering. It was built in August 1959 by Bethlehem Steel, serviced in March 1979, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. This flat car was built as part of an 80-car order and placed in series 21000-21079. Originally, these all-welded flats with wooden decking were decorated with the speed lettered ‘Rio Grande.’ The Rio Grande herald was covered in the
1970s when the stencil boxes were added.
