This 40’ box car with single door is painted dark green with light yellow stripes and side mask. Lettering is in yellow and green. This car was built in December 1944, serviced in January 1966, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Peoria & Oquawka Eastern Extension was renamed Toledo, Peoria & Western in an 1880 reorganization. Half interests were purchased by Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe and Pennsylvania Railroad in 1960; ATSF bought PRR’s half after 1976. Toledo, Peoria & Western merged into Santa Fe on January 1, 1984. Santa Fe sold the main line on February 1, 1989, to new investors who reused the TP&W name. Acquired by RailAmerica in September 1999, the road still operated as TP&W.
