These 3-axle, 6-wheel trucks?used on our 109000 series flat cars are now available separately with medium extension mounted Magne-Matic? couplers. Buckeye trucks were developed in the early twentieth century to address the need for higher capacity freight trucks. The Buckeye truck addressed this need so effectively that they are still in use today. They have been used in many applications, including high capacity steam tenders, cranes, heavy equipment cars, and heavy weight and depressed center flat cars.
