The Panama Canal Railway operates a line between the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of Panama which gives them a 47 mile “land bridge” across the continent. They own a fleet of 22 Twinstack container cars which are MU equipped to allow push-pull operation on the line. Ex-Amtrak F-40’s are used to supply head-end power for reefer units.
