     Beginning in 1977, Pacific Car and Foundry (PC&F) released a heavily insulated refrigerator car with internal, air-bag loading devices and 20" travel,  sliding-sill underframe. These cars affectionately became known as "Beer Cars" for the refreshing cargo that they frequently carried.
   When ExactRail first released the PC&F Beer Car in December 2009, they found the Missouri Pacific cars to be a lighter color than we anticipated. That said, the color was also the perfect platform for a weathered car! So, ExactRail withheld the MP cars from the original release, and went the extra step to individually hand weather each car. The all-new 'Weathered' MP Beer Cars are now available in very limited quanities.
