This 100 ton three bay open hopper with coal load is painted black with white logo and lettering and yellow ball at the upper left. It was built in March 1964 and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Each car was embellished with a large yellow circle indicating they were built for unit train operation. Loaded with coal, these class H43 hoppers have a cubic foot capacity of 3418 when full. After the Penn Central merger (Feb 1968), this series was renumbered to PC 473972-475463.
