On a late-1940's summer morning, Great Northern's International Limited from Seattle rolls slowly along White Rock Beach on its northward journey to Vancouver. Bell and whistle going as it approaches the end of the pier and the railway station just beyond it. H-5 Pacific type # 1365 is in its last summer of regular service on this line as dieselisation is fast approaching.
