The hillside overlooking this scene near Lake Louise was a favourite camera location of C.P.R. special photographer Nicholas Morant. This painting of the eastbound 'Canadian" features the famous train in its original colours of the 1950's. The lead units, FP7A # 1425 and F7B # 4459, are presently being restored to their original appearance at the West Coast Railway Association's Heritage Park at Squamish, B.C.
