The GP50 is one in a long line of “Geeps”, and was built during from 1980 to 1985. Though it was not as successful as some other it’s sisters in the line, it nonetheless performed well in the capacity of a road switch engine. Examples of this locomotive were used be several railroads and many units continue in service today.
