This 40’ box car with single door is painted black with aluminum sides. It bears Western Pacific’s large orange feather emblem and is lettered in black with white end lettering. It was built in November 1951 by Pullman-Standard, serviced in February 1953, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. In 1951, WP ordered 600 PS-1 box cars from Pullman-Standard, numbered 20801-21400. The cars appeared in WP’s standard paint scheme, a plain box car red with silver reporting marks and the square feather herald on the right side of the car. The second 22 cars were sent back to Pullman in 1953 to receive their Compartmentizers and were re-numbered into series 19521-19542. They were painted aluminum with black roof and ends and a large new orange feather emblem across the side and door.
