This 50’ box car with no roofwalk and tall ladders is painted blue with black Superior doors and sills, and aluminum roof. It is lettered in white with white herald and black lettering in the DF logo. It was built in July 1968 by the Evans Car Co. and leased from U.S. Railway Equipment Co. It runs on Barber roller bearing trucks. Boston & Maine leased 100 (series 900-999) boxcars equipped with Hydra-Cushion underframes and DF belt rails to protect the loading.
