This 40’ box car with single door is painted black with an orange door. It is lettered in white with white herald. NH 36848 was built by Pressed Steel Car Co. in September 1941, serviced in March 1956, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. When serviced by New Haven’s Readville Shop in March 1956, NH 36848 became one of the few cars to receive the large “N over H” herald to the left of the door.
