This 50’ rib side box car with single door and no roofwalk is painted blue with white logo and lettering. It was built in September 1979 by Berwick Forge & Fabrication and runs on Barber roller bearing trucks. The Central Vermont Railway operated in the New England states as well as the Canadian province of Quebec. The Vermont Central Railroad, chartered in 1843, connected Montreal, Quebec, with New London, CT, using a route along the shores of Lake Champlain, through the Green Mountains and along the Connecticut River Valley. They also ran from Montreal to Boston, MA, through a connection with the Boston and Maine Railroad at White River Junction, VT.
