These 61’ bulkhead flat cars are painted sky blue with white lettering. They were built in June 1968 and run on Barber® Roller Bearing trucks. The Great Northern was the creation of the 19th century railroad tycoon James J. Hill and was developed from the St. Paul and Pacific Railroad. The Great Northern’s route was the northernmost transcontinental railroad route in the United States.
