The Pennsy FP7s were ordered in both A-B-A and A-A configurations. All the units were delivered by EMD painted in Dark Green Locomotive paint and single buff stripes and lettering in April, 1952. In June, 1953, two three-unit sets were painted in the Tuscan red passenger scheme with five imitation gold stripes and lettering. The engines were ordered repainted in Dark Green Locomotive paint in mid 1958. Photos indicate that three units were green by mid 1960, the remainder by mid 1961.
