ACF Streamlined Railway Post Office-Baggage Car

      Move mail in style by streamliner! Increasingly aware of their image, many railroads made sure every car on their newest post-war trains was streamlined. And since mail contracts often made passenger service profitable, Railway Post Office (RPO) cars were a sign of the company's commitment to the Postal Service too. Fully equipped to collect, sort and deliver mail enroute, streamlined RPOs were found on many premier trains.

      This ready-to-run model is complete with a full interior, flush-fitting windows, modeler-applied wire grab irons (drilling points are molded on the body to aid installation), a removable roof, working diaphragms and a detailed underbody. Car name and number decals are provided so you can add your favorite car number.
 
      Other features include RP-25 metal wheels, trucks with metal sideframes and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers. Factory-installed electrical pickups allow easy installation of the snap-in Interior Lighting Kit (#933-1049 DC Version or #933-1084 DCC Version, sold separately) if desired.
 
      PLEASE NOTE: As these cars are the correct prototype length and feature full underbody detail to match the prototypes, a minimum 24" radius is recommended for operation.
