BNSF is one of North America's largest Class I railroads with over 32,000 route miles and on average, 220,000 freight cars on their system. Volume 12 covers cars with BNSF reporting marks and includes more than 340 images of cars from 175 series. Cars including auto racks, flat cars, Intermodal well cars, box cars, refrigerated cars, covered and open hoppers, coil cars and gondolas are covered with photographs and data. Each series includes dimensional data, built dates, paint dates, appliance manufacturers, date and location, etc. Also included are the standard bibliography, abbreviation key and relevant AAR type codes. 517 pages.
