This GP-35 powered locomotives is painted blue and black with white stripes, red and black logo, and white lettering. It was built by the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors in 1964. It was built as part of EMD order number 4410 for the Detroit, Toledo & Ironton railroad in 1964, went to Grand Trunk Western, then Montana Rail Link (MRL). This loco wore the MRL blue with the “Flying W” and the number 402 until this “Lion’s Head” paint scheme was applied in the late 1990s.
