These 61’ bulkhead flat cars with covered wood loads are painted green with white BC Rail logos and white lettering. They were built in June 1980 and run on Barber® Roller Bearing trucks. In 1984, the British Columbia Railway was financially restructured creating BC Rail Ltd. On July 15, 2004, Canadian National (CN) purchased the railway and leased the right of way for BC Rail. The original lease of the rail right of way was for 60 years with a 30 year option to renew. The British Columbian government retains the option of buying back all of the assets from CN at renewal
