VIA Rail Canada

VIA's 6500-series FP9As lasted until the early 1990s. Most were sold in 1995. Many were rebuilt into 6300-series FP9ARM units, and these lasted longer, operating on northern routes into the 21st century. In fact, 6300 is still active today at VIA's Vancouver Maintenance Centre.

The VIA logo was placed on the nose until 1981. Most logos were gone by 1984 but some stayed right through the 1980s. We include the logo as a decal which you can apply if you choose.
